With more than 60 years of experience, Rotronic is a leading supplier of measuring devices for relative humidity, temperature, carbon dioxide, differential pressure and water activity, which are used in all applications where maximum measuring accuracy, stability and reliability are required.
EPS was commissioned to carry out a redesign and develop a new UX concept based on the software predecessors HW4 and HW5.
In a first step, we analyzed the existing software and its functions, as well as the general conditions of use, the specifications of the users and the goals and vision of Rotronic.
Based on the results of the analysis, two different UX approaches were designed, which would strongly influence the information architecture:
Both approaches were presented to the client using wireframe mockups, which visually demonstrated the advantages and disadvantages of both variants.
After Rotronic had decided on the version with a focus on the functions, a UI concept was developed taking into account the corporate identity, a style guide for implementing the designs was created and various UI screens in desktop and mobile format were implemented as a reference.
Rotronic was very satisfied with our services, the close collaboration with them and the final result.
