SN Energie has been producing, transmitting, and trading electrical energy since 1929. Alongside the energy supply companies in which it is involved, it covers the entire value chain of electricity supply. SN Energie owns its own flexible power plants, a dedicated trading department for portfolio optimization, and various investments.
EPS Software Engineering AG had the privilege of assisting SN Energie in elevating its platform evu-solutions.ch to the next level. We worked on providing their customers with a modern, user-friendly, and efficient user interface. Additionally, we were entrusted with the technical implementation of the new design.
We were able to provide advantages to SN Energie AG in the following aspects:
At the outset, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the process, goals, and visions of SN Energie, as well as competitor products. Usability interviews with current end-users of the existing tool were also conducted, resulting in a detailed foundational analysis, market analysis, and persona profiles.
Based on this analysis, we developed an optimal information architecture and a UX concept that integrates all essential functions with a clear and intuitive interface and navigation, providing end-users with a pleasant and efficient working experience.
In collaboration with our partner EPSza in South Africa, we created various UI designs and presented them to the customer, who then selected a final variant. Subsequently, we developed a style guide, serving as a reference for the development team during implementation.
Finally, the most important screens were elaborated in the final UI designs and linked as a clickable prototype to give the customer the best possible impression of how the revamped platform would look.
We successfully completed all tasks, including the technical implementation of the new design, to the great satisfaction of SN Energie.
