Chatter Mark Analysis app for Android & iOS (built on MAUI)

Evaluating chatter marks made easy!

Steinemann Technology AG is one of the leading suppliers of sanding systems for the wood-based panel industry and stands for first-class service quality.

In order to be able to analyse chatter marks even faster and more efficiently and to assign their causes, the Steinemann app for the evaluation of chatter marks was developed.

EPS Software Engineering AG was allowed to implement the existing app from scratch in MAUI, the Mutli-Platform App UI from Microsoft, and also introduce some improvements in the design for a better UX/UI.

EPS Software Engineering AG analysed the requirements based on the existing app together with Steinemann Technology AG and reconstructed the functionalities based on Microsoft’s Multi-Platform App UI (MAUI).

Thanks to the EPS Mobile App Template and the many years of experience in mobile app development, EPS Software Engineering was able to implement the new app within a very short time, whereby some improvements to the UX/UI were also incorporated in order to make the app more user-friendly and increase readability.

The machine data required for the analysis is requested via a WordPress API and stored locally in an SQLite database with EFCore in order to also provide an offline analysis. The synchronisation of the new online data happens automatically after app start.

By setting up an automated build pipeline, unit tests are carried out for each new change and new test and release versions are created automatically.

EPS Software Engineering AG was also able to support Steinemann Technology AG in the placement in the stores.
