Sometimes it doesn’t take much: good weather, beautiful trails, some time away from the office—and people you enjoy spending time with.
Our EPS summer outing on September 18–19, 2026, had exactly that.
On Friday, we started off together with a hike from Kreuzlingen to Arenenberg. Step by step, with views of Lake Constance, good conversations along the way, and plenty of moments to simply pause for a moment and enjoy the scenery. In the afternoon, we had a choice: a wine hike around Arenenberg or a guided tour of the Napoleon Museum. So there was something for everyone—enjoyment, history, scenery, and a little vacation vibe right in the middle of our everyday EPS routine. |

Saturday Moped tour 67 km from Arenenberg to Gächlingen
On Saturday, we continued as a group, this time under our own steam: a moped tour from Arenenberg via Stein am Rhein, Diessenhofen, and the Rhine Falls all the way to Gächlingen. The wind in our faces, full throttle (the mopeds were moving at a rather leisurely pace of 35 km/h), and in between, a spontaneous race: “Ready, set, go!!” Heads down, full throttle, side by side—and for a few seconds, the moped tour turned into a racetrack.
Marius Minnie from EPS South Africa was also there in person. After a week of working together, he joined the outing before his return flight and thus discovered a side of Switzerland that—apart from the Rhine Falls—lies somewhat off the beaten path.
Bottom line: two days, lots of kilometers, and even more good vibes. The pictures tell the rest of the story.
