Teamwork - faster and smarter

The Atlassian products were introduced into EPS in 2013 and our vision was to create all documents in Confluence. Of course EPS customers do not want their quotations in the form of wiki pages, but similar to the rest of the world, in PDF form. With the construction of Confluence apps EPS has achieved this ambitious goal and thus significantly advanced the level of teamwork.

In 2017, EPS officially became an Atlassian Solution Partner and is looking forward to supporting you in the introduction of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jira Service, etc into your company.

Eventful times

It all began on October 9, 1971 under the name "EPS AG für Elektronische Prozesssteuerungen". Although the equipment was still modest at the time, the young company was able to expand rapidly and establish itself in the market thanks to innovation and a good company structure.

2022

Our partner of several years, Instasense, based in Pretoria (South Africa), is being taken over by EPS and renamed EPSza.

2021

50 years of corporate success: EPS celebrates its 50th anniversary.

2021

Nufatron merges with EPS. The business activities of Nufatron AG are continued under the name of EPS Software Engineering AG.

2019

Stephan Sutter will step down as managing director at the end of 2019 and hand over to Christian Schmid, who has been with EPS for over 10 years.

2017

The product Pluto (control system from Bühler Uzwil) is completed. With this, EPS has launched the first large web application (front- and backend).

2011

The first mobile app developed by EPS on the basis of Mono (now XAMARIN) is launched as the 3D Disto product from Leica Geosystems AG.

2006

EPS AG für Elektronische Prozesssteuerungen becomes 4IT Holding and EPS Software Engineering AG is founded.

2005

Stephan Sutter takes over the management and the restructuring to 4IT Holding starts.

2004

EPS enters truck logistics with the acquisition of Nufatron AG. The synergies, product - software engineering - cloud / hosting complement each other.

1999

The invention of the WWW opens up new opportunities. EPS founds the company 4net AG with headquarters in St. Gallen.

1993

EPS had already recovered well by mid-year. As a result, the company is implementing complex projects for plant and machine controls in the industrial environment.

1992

As the interest rate, real estate and economic bubble burst, EPS also experienced turbulent times. The team shrank from 32 to 8 employees.

1980 - 1990

In the 1980s, demand developed rapidly, e.g. train steering systems or the first fully automatic mill control system for Buhler Uzwil.

1973

Foundation of "EPS AG für elektronische Prozesssteuerungen" as legal successor of the general partnership.

1971

The general partnership "EPS Entwicklungsgruppe für Prozesssteuerungen" is founded in Wil SG by Peter Donatsch, Werner Hasler and Georg Züblin.
