Merging and calculating key figures from accounting, time recording, project controlling and forecasts

• Evaluations across the entire company, e.g. number of employees required based on the effort forecast
• Elimination of the media break between project controlling and forecasting
• Reduction in the number of Excel sheets and complexity

EPS Software Engineering AG analyzed the requirements together with the customer and developed the ProCon web application.

During the implementation, EPS Software Engineering AG was able to draw on tried and tested components from the EPS library set (e.g. user authentication, background services, login, etc.) and many years of experience in the implementation of web apps.

The solution was divided into 4 components, a React web application, a .NET backend API application, an identity service and a reporting service.

The master data required for project controlling is synchronized and created by the backend through an import job of customers and vendors in CSV format.

Projects can be managed in the UI and expense and income forecasts can be created. The data is stored in an SQL database via EFCore.

Various templates for reporting the evaluated data in Excel or PDF format were created using the EPS Reporting Service.

By setting up an automated build pipeline, unit tests are carried out for every new change and new test and release versions are created automatically.
